Fellowship Placement: Whitehall City Schools

 

Amanda Clark (she/her/hers) is a visionary and creative thinker. She aims to design and implement programs that impact systems, utilizing her experience and training with BRIGHT. 

 

She has attained a B.S. in Biology, MEd in Science Education, M.A. in Educational Policy and Leadership, and a Teacher Leader Endorsement Program, all from the Ohio State University. Amanda is licensed to teach Biology and Chemistry in grades 7-12. Additionally, she has worked as a Chemistry Teaching Assistant at OSU, a Science Teacher with Upward Bound Summer Enrichment Institute at Columbus State Community College, and a Science Teacher for Columbus City Schools. 

 

Through her long tenure at Columbus City Schools, Amanda has had the chance to serve in various leadership roles, including science department chair, assessment leader, and a Building Leadership team member, where she was able to assist in developing the school improvement plan, lead staff professional development, and collaborate with colleagues across the district to address needs identified within schools. Amanda has also served as grades 6-12 district science curriculum coordinator. 

 

Amanda is introspective in both her work and personal life, as she enjoys solitude, writing, and reading. She has also been awarded Teacher of the Year multiple times!
